Alexandra Carle discovered China in 2001 and returned there several times before she passed away in 2002.

Alexandra Carle shows us through the « window » China as she has experienced, from the interior. She invites us to take a peak into the lives of its inhabitants, a world in movement made of joyful moments, of tenderness, meditation but also of solitude. Through her photographs, Alex takes us to the China that she had loved, but gradually disappearing in order to become a « modern » country.
