The series was produced using Polaroid SX70 at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris, between 1996 and 2007.

This series was shown in various exhibitions and slide projections. A film called ‘Main Memory’ accompanies the photographs.
A book including twelve images, and a text by the writer Muriel Pic was published by Filigranes in September 2005.

An exhibition of this series takes place in Mai-Photographies festival at the galerie Ty Mad of Douarnenez from april 29th to june 22th 2008.

« L’Expiré » allows us to submerge in a world, where the complimentary and the antagonist prevail over time and memory. Images sometimes bright, at others transparent or aerial, speak of fragility and disappearance, but also of breath and intensity. It is a work about signs. Profane or religious, manifestations of love, battles of memory against oblivion.  Discrete and fragile, they seem to be asking to vanish, erase, shatter or fade way.
