Jorge Rivas-Rivas was born in Altamira de Caceres (Venezuela) and has been living in Paris since 1981. The exhibition of this work has been shown during the Terres d’Images festival in Biarritz, France in 2003, as well as in Caracas in 2007 along with the publishing by Filigranes of his book entitled “Mi Pueblo”. |

The series “Mi Pueblo” is a journey through the author’s birthplace, a village situated in Venezuela. The itinerary that Rivas-Rivas presents is a meditatative look at the place of his origins; a photographic reflection of the people, the places and things that have lived inside him since his childhood.
